BluClear for Vista Beta 1by ~trm96

Customization / Skins & Themes / Windows Vista Utilities / Visual Styles

This is the first public beta version of my Vista visual style.

When I post a later version I will be sure to include a list of everyone who made this VS possible including anyone who gives me feedback.

Please notify me of any bugs or anything you dislike. There is still quite a bit I want to do but I thought I would release a not final version to get feedback on it. Please note this is my first attempt at making a Vista VS and I still don't know VSB all that well...

Later on I will be porting this VS over to Windows Seven, but that will come later.

This VS has been tested on a few x64 SP1 Vista machines.

I set this up using TuneUp 2009, and none of my windows are transparent like in the pic, and my startbutton and task bar remain at the bottom. I'm pretty sure I'm the one doing something wrong, but help?

Sounds like you are not running DWM (Aero). Do you have the transparent windows with the default Vista visual style? If so then switch to that visual style then switch back to mine. If what I said does not work send me a note here on DA. As for the taskbar if you want it at the top as my screenshot is then right click on the taskbar and un-select where it says "Lock the taskbar" then you can drag it from the bottom to the sight side to the top, after that you should (don't have to) right click again and select "lock taskbar".

One thing I noticed is the flashing alert for minimized windows (for instance when someone messages you on MSN, the tab on the taskbar usually blinks orange or a different color. In this theme, it blinks but its hardly noticeable. I would suggest using orange for that type of event.
